World-class wines to Tour de France finish lines

Burgundy and the Loire Valley are already a cyclist’s dream come true. So when you add exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to the Tour de France finale in Paris, you’ve got a truly unforgettable trip. Picture yourself pedaling along quiet country roads and past elegant châteaux—thinking about which world-famous wine you’ll taste next. Your biking adventure begins in historic Burgundy, where the charming city of Beaune welcomes you with open arms and full glasses of Pinot Noir. Next up is the Loire Valley, aptly nicknamed the “Garden of France” due to the abundance of orchards, gardens, and vineyards everywhere you look. Here, you’ll be surrounded by postcard-worthy scenery like the iconic Château de Chambord all while sipping on crisp Sauvignon Blanc, the region’s signature white wine. But this isn't just any wine country cycling tour. You’re heading to Paris to witness the thrilling conclusion of the Tour de France from a VIP position on the Champs-Élysées before celebrating with the EF Pro Cycling team at an exclusive post-race party.

Itinerary

Overnight flight

Day 1: Fly to Lyon

Say au revoir to the States and bonjour to France, where everything—the cheese, the wine, the scenery—is well, incredible. Make your way to the airport and board your overnight flight to Lyon, the first stop on a journey that will culminate with the spectacular finale of the Tour de France in Paris.

Burgundy region

Day 2: Arrive in Lyon & transfer to Burgundy region

Included meal: Welcome dinner

Bienvenue en France! You’ll touch down in Lyon, then transfer to the Burgundy region, one of the world’s most beautiful regions for biking and sipping wine (if it sounds exciting, that’s because it is!). Burgundy’s rich winemaking history goes back to the Middle Ages when Cistercian monks first began cultivating vines here. The region’s unique environment—a combination of limestone-rich soil and ideal climate—gives Burgundy wines their distinct character and complexity.

Today’s highlights
  • Meet an EF representative at the airport.
  • Transfer 2–2.5 hours to your hotel in the Burgundy region to check in and explore your surroundings.
  • Raise a glass of beer or wine while you get to know your fellow riders and Tour Directors during a Welcome Orientation.
  • Enjoy a Welcome Dinner to continue bonding with the group.

Note: Transfer from the airport to the hotel is only available to travelers who book round-trip flights with EF Adventures.
